Correctional Billing Services won't stop calling

Correctional Billing Services continue to harrass me by calling constantly. They call my office phone 3-4 times a day and leave a recorded message.

They are calling for someone who had my number before Quest assigned it to me. I have no idea who this person is.

When I call them to tell them, they took my number and said they would stop. They didn't. I called again, and they said they would stop. The calls continue and are particularly bad at the end and beginning of the month. When I called this last time, they said I had to prove who I was! This is harrassment!

I am now considering legal action.

I have a real problem with these vultures. I have rec'g collect calls from a son in prison for 10 months and all of a sudden, my phone is blocked by this bunch of scammers. They tell me I "have" to give the last 4 digits of the ss# on our phone account to set up their account. I refused and will continue to refuse. I know their scamming because in 2 separate phone calls, I typed in bogus "code" numbers and was told the first time that I now have a $900 limit; the second time that my "account" was clear and good. What kind of hooey is this? And, you can't talk to anyone in the U.S.; they are in the Caribbean. Make sense? The problem with me is that I only allow 2 calls per month. They aren't getting enough money out of us. No one is forcing me to change how my phone is billed. They can shove it. There just won't be anymore calls. This is excellent rehabilitation for my son. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and FCC. I am now going on to the commissioner of corrections in Ky; then the governor; attorney general; etc. I will then move on to the media. Dirty little secret needs some publicity.
